Qwen3.8 Flash-Next
Qwen API
Connect your application to Qwen3.8 Flash-Next through nafnaf's OpenAI-compatible inference API. Pay for the tokens you use with prepaid account credit.
Your model. One API key.
| Input | Output | Cached input |
|---|---|---|
| $0.075 | $0.235 | $0.008 |
Our published rates are 50% below the OpenRouter Qwen3.8 Flash benchmark: $0.15 input, $0.47 output, and $0.016 cached input per million tokens, checked 22 October 2026. Flash-Next is not an exact OpenRouter listing; the comparison is a price benchmark, not a claim of identical quality or capacity.
250 tok/s median decode. Actual throughput depends on the request and server load; it is not a latency guarantee.
Qwen is a paid model. Shared capacity is subject to availability; a busy response may need a retry.
Make your first request
- Sign in to nafnaf, add prepaid credit, and create an inference API key.
- Set
NAFNAF_API_KEYin your server's environment or secret manager. Keep it out of browser code, repositories, and prompts. - Send a Chat Completions request to
https://inference.nafnaf.ai/v1with modelqwen3.8-flash-next.
Existing inference API keys continue to work. Qwen requests use your prepaid account credit at the current token rates shown above; no new key or opt-in is needed. Add credit before sending requests if your balance is empty.
curl --fail-with-body https://inference.nafnaf.ai/v1/chat/completions \

"model": "qwen3.8-flash-next",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Explain GPU memory in one sentence."}],
"max_tokens": 256,
"stream": false
}'For Python, install the openai package and point its client at nafnaf:
import os
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
api_key=os.environ["NAFNAF_API_KEY"],
base_url="https://inference.nafnaf.ai/v1",
)
response = client.chat.completions.create(
model="qwen3.8-flash-next",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Explain GPU memory in one sentence."}],
max_tokens=256,
)
print(response.choices[0].message.content)To stream tokens, set stream to true. Qwen uses Chat Completions; do not send it to the Responses endpoint. The live catalog lists supported protocols for each model.
Before you build
Do I need to rent a GPU?
No. This is a hosted model API. Rent a GPU workspace only when you need your own model, runtime, or training job.
Is Qwen still free?
No. Qwen Flash-Next now uses prepaid credit at its published token rates. DeepSeek Flash remains free under its own usage limits. Check the model catalog, pin your model ID, and review its prices before making requests.
What happens when a request fails?
Check the HTTP status. A 401 means authentication failed; 402 can mean insufficient credit; 429 means a limit or shared capacity was reached. Back off before retrying and honor a Retry-After header when supplied. A 5xx response can mean the model is temporarily unavailable.
