Compute comparisons

nafnaf vs Lium

Both support programmatic GPU rental. The important questions are what an agent may do, how its spending is bounded, how the account is funded, and how reliably it releases resources.

Agent support is not unique to nafnaf

Lium explicitly documents agent workflows for discovering, renting, and releasing GPUs through its CLI and APIs. Its public price feed distinguishes model reference prices from live rentable inventory. Use the actual available node and its complete GPU count when estimating a booking.

For either marketplace, require machine-readable errors, safe retries, explicit teardown, and a budget that matches the job. An integration that can start a server but cannot reliably stop it is not a complete autonomous workflow.

Separate paying from permission to spend

Lium's CLI documentation describes creating a crypto invoice, paying from a wallet, and polling for the resulting credit. It also marks its saved-card CLI top-up as not released. A documented flow or feature flag should not be mistaken for universal production availability.

On nafnaf, an owner can fund the account and authorize a scoped agent to rent within limits. That is autonomous use of an authorized balance, not permission to charge arbitrary cards or an assertion of exclusive agentic payments. Keep funding credentials separate from workload credentials.

Compare the complete execution path

Calculate GPU count times the quoted rate times allocation duration, then add applicable storage and transfer. Include setup, downloads, idle debugging, and teardown. A minimum bundle or a long initialization step can erase a small hourly saving.

Use a small bounded job first: discover an offer, book it, verify access, run your workload, export a result, and release the instance. Keep the booking identifier and final usage record. Price discovery alone does not prove the rest of the workflow works for your environment.

Before you choose

  • Use live rentable inventory, not just a model reference price.
  • Separate rental authority, budget, and payment authority.
  • Check which advertised features are actually released.
  • Test retries, export, teardown, and final usage accounting.

For paid GPU rentals, compare the final USD price and applicable taxes for your actual configuration. We do not claim that nafnaf is the cheapest for every GPU, model, or workload.
